Readity Privacy Policy

Readity, operated by Voxwave LLC ("we", "us"), turns articles, web pages, PDFs, and documents you choose into natural-sounding audio. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address (and the identifier from Sign in with Apple or Google if you use them), used to create and secure your account.
• Content you import — the text, web pages, PDFs, documents, and images you add to Readity, and the audio we generate from them, so we can build your library and play it back.
• Usage data — listening time, imports, and basic app interactions used to operate the service and enforce plan limits.
• Purchase data — subscription status from Apple (we never receive your payment-card details; Apple processes payments).

How we use your information

• To provide the service: import content, generate speech, store your library, sync, and play audio.
• To operate your account, apply free/Pro plan limits, and process subscriptions.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

Service providers we share data with

We use trusted processors to run Readity. They handle data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (your account and library metadata).
• Fly.io — application hosting.
• Fish Audio — text-to-speech. The text we convert is sent to Fish Audio to generate audio. Note that Fish Audio's free model tier may retain requests to improve its models; we use this tier during early access.
• OpenAI — text processing that powers Pro AI features (summaries, chat, explanations, flashcards, translations) on the documents you choose to use them with.
• Apple — App Store payments and Sign in with Apple.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your content and account data until you delete them. You can delete individual items, or delete your entire account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent.

Your choices & rights

• Access & export — request a copy of your data from Settings → Export my data.
• Deletion — delete items or your whole account in-app.
• Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK/California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your data; contact us to exercise them.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

Readity is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Content responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to import and convert the content you add to Readity. Readity is intended for your personal use.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will post the revised version here with a new date.
